Ken's Donuts, purveyor of 24-hour cheap doughnuts and samosas, is now temporarily closed after failing three health inspections from the, as reported by KXAN. The Travis County Health and Human Services Department gave the doughnut shop three grades below 70 (a passing grade) within the past three years.
Ken's will be shuttered for 48 hours, after which it will receive a new inspection. A sign at the store cites that it will reopen on Thursday. KXAN also reports that owner told the news channel that the shutter was due to plumbing issues.
Update, March 25: KXAN followed up on Ken's Donuts' health code violations, which does not paint a very pretty picture. Inspectors found, on various visits, mold, pests, and more. If the doughnut shop received one more failing inspection score, it will have to close down completely.
