Yard House, the beer-centric national chain, makes its way to the Domain's Phase III for its first Austin location, set to open on Saturday, May 14. The 130 taps will feature local breweries, with special limited selections highlighted in the Chalkboard series. The glass-enclosed keg room feeds into the taps through tubing running throughout the space.
From the kitchen, expect the usual beer bar food: burgers, salads, steaks, and ribs for lunch, dinner, and late night. There are separate gluten-free and vegetarian dishes, the latter made with gardein (a mixture of vegetables and protein). Along with indoor seating, there are both covered and open patios. Happy hour will be available, along with a whole bunch of television screens and a very large music playlist.
This is Yard’s fifth Texas location and 64th throughout the country. Last month, small microbrew chain Growler USA opened in North Campus, but World of Beer shuttered its only Austin location in under less than a year.
