After quickly turning around not one, but two new bars and restaurants this week, first with Parlor & Yard, and then Mettle-turned-Ophelia, bar mogul Bridget Dunlap uncovers Lustre Pearl on Rainey Street again, starting today, March 2. New partner trailer Baton Creole will set up shop, dishing out Cajun dishes like the jambalaya-on-a-stick. One of the signature cocktails is the Lustre Lemonade, available with strawberry moonshine, either frozen or on the rocks.

The original Lustre Pearl on 97 Rainey Street closed down in 2014 to make way for condos. Dunlap literally moved the physical bar to its new home on Linden Street with a new name: Lustre Pearl East. Never one to settle, she also decided to open this second Lustre Pearl over on 94 Rainey Street, next door to her other spot Bar 96.

The new building includes plenty of outdoor space, games, and hula hoops. Hours will be from 4 p.m. through 2 a.m. Monday to Thursday, and from noon to 2 a.m. Friday to Sunday. Look out for happy hour and crawfish boils in the future.

Other restaurants and bars in the Dunlap family include Burn, Clive Bar, Container Bar, and others.
