Tiger claw lovers anxiously awaiting news of Easy Tiger’s imminent expansions, check out this rendering of the forthcoming second location of the growing pastrami-and-pastry emporium. The north expansion, slated to open at The Linc at I-35 and Airport Boulevard, should open its doors in November 2016. The rendering references the patio at the Waller Creek location with the addition of a shade structure over long picnic tables and ambient lighting.
Then, there will be a third Easy Tiger location, which anchors the forthcoming Fareground, Austin’s first contemporary food hall, opening sometime in 2017. ELM Group, which oversees the restaurant, is also responsible for selecting the rest of the food and drink vendors at the site.
So far, 2016 has been an eventful year for ELM on top of expanding Easy Tiger and curating Fareground. There was the February sale and closure of French bistro Arro, and to the imminent opening of Americana hangout Irene’s. At the same time, the man behind the lauded breads and pastries at Easy Tiger, David Norman, has been at work on Bread On the Table, his forthcoming cookbook from Ten Speed Press.
