World of Beer is closing on South Lamar today, as reported by Austin 360, after opening last March. It was the Tampa-based beer chain’s first Austin location, and seventh in Texas.

Pending the potential sale of the address today, World of Beer will potentially open for one last time with half-off beer and booze, but food would not be served. A staffer told the publication that the company might look for another new location.

The bar boasted of over 500 different types of bottled beers, along with 50 rotating taps, which highlighted local breweries like Austin Beerworks and Jester King. The comfort pub menu featured burgers and pretzels, plus craft cocktails, infusions, ciders, and wines. There are over 70 locations across the country.
