Chef Jacques Pépin Comes to Austin, Adelbert’s Brewery Is Now a Brewpub, and More A.M. Intel

— Jacques Pépin, the famed French chef, television personality, and cookbook author, is still celebrating his 80th birthday with an Austin appearance on Sunday, June 5. He will speak about his culinary history and his final cooking series Jacques Pépin: Heart & Soul. The event will begin at 3 p.m. at the Long Center, with tickets ranging from $19 to $100. A cut of the proceeds will go towards the Austin Food and Wine Alliance and the nonprofit’s Culinary Arts Career Conference.

— Austin 360 reports that Adelbert's Brewery will transform into a brewpub. This means the brewery will be able to sell to-go bottles of beer, as well as offer more options in the taproom, including limited releases.

— Whataburger’s latest Twitter exchanges were with Texas State University out in San Marcos over choosing a major and placing a burger order. The beloved Texas fast food chain trolled both Kanye West and Drake in the past year.
