SXSW revealed the lineup for this year’s SouthBites popular food trailer park, which will include Roti Rolls, the fundamental Charleston food truck, and Kerlin BBQ, which will dish out Austin barbecue and kolaches.
Roti sells Indian flatbreads stuffed with meats, cheese, vegetables, and other ingredients. Hopefully the most popular roll, Thurman Murman, made with braised short ribs or pork, along with spicy mac and cheese and kimchi, will appear on the menu.
Other new food trucks include Chicago’s The Happy Lobster, doughnut-loving Doughmakers from Houston, a coffee and espresso trailer from New Orleans: Petite Rouge Cafe Camionette, and Portland favorites Salt & Straw. Returning out-of-town trailer is Colorado's Nomad Street Cuisine with burgers and sandwiches like the buffalo reuben. Austin standbys like East Side King, Chi'Lantro, Veracruz All Natural, Burro Cheese Kitchen, and others are coming back, too.
The SXSW SouthBites trailer will run from 11 a.m. to midnight, Friday, March 11 through Saturday, March 19, found on 604 Driskill Street, near Rainey Street.
