Neapolitan pizza trailer 40 North sadly shut down over the summer. Now owner and chef Clint Elmore has his next venture all lined up: a Round Rock pizzeria named PS 35.

PS 35 will focus on New York-style pies. To gear up for this, Elmore ventured on an extensive New York City pizza research trip. He knows his pizza well. Before opening 40 North in December 2014, he studied pie making in Naples as well as New York’s Paulie Gee’s.

Aside from pizza, PS 35 will also serve family-style Italian dishes and sandwiches. For sweets, there will be soft serve gelato, along with beer and cocktails. The restaurant includes a massive pavilion includes plenty of space for dining and music, with plans for pinball games, a DJ booth, and other outdoor games.

PS 35 is helmed by SMGB Hospitality Group, which just opened Old Thousand, the brand new Chinese restaurant on the East Side, this week. The group came up with the name because of the proximity of Highway 35, and to convey a New York City public school vibe.

PS 35 is set to open sometime in early 2017.
