— The Factory, the cafe obsessed with waffles, already didn’t offer wifi because co-owner Wallace Kusumo wants to customers to actually interact with each other.. Now, in line with that same goal, laptops are completely banned from the coffee shop.

— After Austin's visit from Belgium princess Astrid, the Statesman figures out who is considered Texas royalty. The lineup includes a place for Aaron Franklin as the duke who is "the defender of our faith in smoked meat."

— CultureMap took a look at Austin Beerwork’s expansion plywood, which'll include a tasting room and mural. It’s set to debut early next year.

— Music venues and bars along Red River are exploring the potential idea of whether noise curfews could be extended on the weekends, including Mohawk. It goes to the Economic Opportunity Committee in the Austin City Council today.
