Elgin-based Aviator Pizza is headed to Austin with cheesy pies and craft beer. It takes over Billie Jean's Burger Pub's location on South Congress starting on Tuesday, December 13 Thursday, December 15.

The pizzeria is known for pizza made with dough drizzled with pizza oil infused with rosemary, craft beer, along with chicken wings, sandwiches, and salads. The dough is made with a touch of pizza oil infused with rosemary.

The second spot will include some new additions to menus, including pies made with honey Sriracha-marinated Brussels sprouts, goat cheese, and prosciutto, and paninis. Brunch will be added in the coming months. The tap offerings will expand to 24 different Texas beers and six wines. Growlers can be refilled, too.

Similar to its original location, Aviator will offer up communal seating and a dog-friendly outdoor space. There are plans for a mural and encouraging neon sign of its motto: “Wake Up, Kick Ass, Repeat.”

Owners John McElroy and Dr. Ana Lam-McElroy opened the original Aviator Pizza out in Elgin in 2014. The Austin location will be known as Aviator Pizza and Drafthouse, whereas the Elgin one is Aviator Pizza and Brewery.
