— Sausage spot Frank owner Daniel Northcutt is collecting donations for Standing Rock activists (who are looking to stop the construction of an oil pipeline in North Dakota across the Indian reservation) for the winter.
— Actor and Austinite Matthew McConaughey and his family delivered Thanksgiving dinners with Meals on Wheels last week. He told KXAN, "They don’t know who I am, they don’t know that I’m in movies or anything, I introduce myself as Matthew and they go ‘hi’ and they are happy that somebody would just take the time out on Thanksgiving to come by bring the meal."
— Alamo Drafthouse wants to revisit its best movie-themed food specials from the year. The theater is inviting people to vote for their favorites, like Bat Burgers, Captain's Dog, and the Soultaker Blade cocktail. The winners will be available in January 2017.
