Mexican restaurant La Feria closed its South Lamar location, as Austin 360 reported, after serving margaritas, fajitas and more in the area for 17 years. However, the restaurant isn’t gone forever. It relocated over to Jollyville on Parmer Lane, as a call to the restaurant confirmed, as well as affirmed by a post by real estate company Endeavor over the summer.
Currently, a La Feria staffer told Eater that the new location is in the middle of a trial run, with an official debut coming shortly. That staffer also confirmed that the Cedar Park location is closed as well.
Austin 360 speculates that an office building will take over the old South Lamar space, because of what company currently owns the property: Sackman Enterprises. The development group purchased the site in 2015. It’s the same company behind 70 Rainey, the luxury tower set for the entertainment district. However, a rep for the group told the publication that there is no available comment on the future plans of the site.
For South Lamar frequenters, remaining nearby Mexican options include El Meson and Sazon.
