— Chi'lantro owner Jae Kim will appear on an upcoming episode of Shark Tank, presumably to raise money for the Korean-Mexican barbecue venture.

— South First’s newest pizzeria Toss is launching weekend brunch starting this Saturday, October 22. This means egg-topped pizzas with Italian sausage, gravy, bacon, potatoes, hollandaise, and more from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., along with mid-morning cocktails.

National Geographic sifts through Austin’s current local food enterprises, placing everything in the context of Austin’s wide appeal to the point where the population is growing and home prices are raising, as well as the tech boom. This means looking at outfits like aquaponics farm Agua Dulce, Boggy Creek Farm, and others. — In more brunch news, restaurant/market Delicious is now adding Friday brunch to its lineup, with dishes like apple butter chicken biscuits and toad in the hole French toast. It will be available from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

— In efforts to become more accessible to everyone, Alamo Drafthouse is now hosting what it calls "Alamo For All sensory-friendly screenings." Screenings with that designation are aimed to accommodate for newborn infants, as well as those with autism and other conditions, allowing guests to make noise, arrive late, and move around (typically against Alamo’s strict policies). Cell phones and other handheld devices are still banned, though. These special showtimes will be available throughout the week.

— Tex Mex Texican Cafe would love to expand.

— Austin Fire Department was called to the Dan’s Hamburgers on North Lamar for for what turned out to be an electrical shortage yesterday.
