Fans of the now-defunct longtime Austin music festival Fun Fun Fun Fest can find solace with newcomer Sound on Sound Fest, brought to the city by the former creators and founders of the popular event. Headliners like Austin band Explosions in the Sky, Beach House, Run the Jewels, and many others will take over the Texas Renaissance Fair grounds over at the Sherwood Forest in McDade, which is way east of Austin, from Friday, November 4 through Sunday, November 6.

With music and camping on the festival grounds comes eating and drinking, and the first-time fest’s food and drink roster is now here. It includes Micklethwait Craft Meats, fresh off their ACL Fest debut, an all-hours diner from sausage kings Frank, North African bites from Cazamance, burritos from Vegan Yacht, and more. Read on for the full list below.

Those vendors will make use of current huts and booths on the Renaissance fair grounds. Beer halls featuring Austin Eastciders, Dark Horse Wine, Karbach Brewing, and Big Bend Brewing, plus others, will be scattered throughout the area. Other things to look out for include late night dance club Disco Dungeon and a special kid-friendly section dubbed SOS Fest Kids’ Kingdom.

Keep an eye out for Eater's in-depth guide to all things food and drink at and around Sound on Sound sometime later this month.
