Sweet Ritual, the vegan ice cream shop, will be trekking over to Hyde Park this summer. To help fund the move, co-owners Amelia Raley and Valerie Ward launched a Kickstarter for the move to the Concorde Shopping Center on 4631 Airport Boulevard. Backers who donate $10,000 will receive free ice cream forever, though limited to just one sweet daily.

The new larger space means the shop can experiment with different flavors and ice cream cakes, as well as host classes, and work on a cookbook. Raley and Ward signed the new lease in November, and are currently working on permitting and design. Construction would begin in March, with a projected opening date by Memorial Day.

Sweet Ritual's original location within JuiceLand on 45th Street opened in 2011. It will remain open during construction until the Airport Boulevard spot opens.

In related vegan desserts news, two women launched their own Kickstarter campaign for a vegan milkshake truck.
