SXSW's SouthBites is throwing not one, but two dinners with Paul Qui at his namesake restaurant. This time, he’s pairing up with Enrique Olvera from new Mexican Cosme for one dinner, and another with Ludo Lefebvre of Eater LA 38 Trois Mec and taco whisperer Alex Stupak of Empellon.
The first dinner is being held on on Sunday, March 13, and the second on Monday, March 14, both at Qui. Tickets are available for badgeholders only, with prices to be announced. Last year's dinners were $250. Update, 11:05 a.m.: Tickets will be $225, which includes the meals, cocktail hour, and wine pairings. Interactive badges are currently $1195.
Last year, Qui partnered with Sean Brock and Nathan Myhrvold, author of Modernist Cuisine where dinguan was served with uni. This year's SouthBites already includes Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern, and local Austin chefs.
