Flyrite Chicken, the fast casual drive-thru focused on all things poultry, is opening its first location on East 7th Street on Sunday, February 7. Owner Kevin Warden wants to focus on what he calls "feel-good fast food," serving all-natural chicken. The menu features fried and grilled chicken sandwiches. Look out for breakfast soon.

Owner Kevin Warden, who previously worked with sandwich chain Which Wich, teamed up with County Line’s Quirino Silva, as director of culinary operations, and Dallas Miller, operations manager for the East 7th site.

To celebrate, there’s an opening party on Sunday, February 14 with a free beer and koozie to the first 300 guests (with purchase) at 10 a.m. Flyrite will also donate $1 from every dish, beer, and milkshake sale to the Texas Restaurant Association Education Foundation from the first three hours.

Hours for the East 7th location are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Construction for the second location on 6539 Burnet has begun, set to open in the summer.
