Construction on Irene’s, the forthcoming New American concept from ELM Group (Italic, Easy Tiger, Arro), continues apace. Once it opens, diners can expect homey breakfasts of toast and cinnamon rolls; soups, salads, and sandwiches for lunch; Blue Plate specials for dinner; and hip cocktails, local beers, and boozy punch. While chef Andrew Curren and partners had hoped for a late 2015 opening, it is now looking like it will debut sometime in March or April. Check out the progress with these plywood photos.
