More expansions are coming inside Austin with Lick Ice Creams and Halcyon Coffee spreading to Mueller in in the Diamond Building , as reported by the Statesman. Dirty Sixth sports bar B.D. Riley’s Irish Pub and San Antonio-based Stella Public House with Neapolitan pizza and beer will be joining the development on Aldrich Street and Simond Avenue, too.
This is Halcyon’s first Austin expansion outside of the the original West 4th address and San Antonio. The Mueller location will be Lick Ice Creams’ fourth home (with more patio), after the South Lamar spot, Brentwood, which opened last summer, and San Antonio. Like the first one, B.D. Riley's plywood will be built out in Ireland and then brought over to Austin. Construction on the Diamond Building began recently.
The four stores are joining revived favorite Texas chain J.T. Youngblood’s Fried Chicken. Other nearby restaurants and businesses include Alamo Drafthouse’s sixth Austin theater, Bribery Bakery, L'Oca d'Oro, and Kyoten Sushiko. Everything is set to open before the end of 2016. More restaurants and bars for the Aldrich District will be announced later.
