Soon, there will be twice as much Voodoo Doughnut in Austin when Buzz Mill Coffee starts carrying the decadent sweets on Saturday, January 23. The Riverside coffee and bar will sell the Portland shop’s iconic doughnuts: the Voodoo, Bacon Maple, the dusted Grape Ape, and Diablos Rex. For vegans, there will be an assortment of fruit cake doughnuts, made with banana, applesauce, or pumpkin.

Buzz Mill is the only other place selling Voodoo Doughnuts, aside from the actual store on Dirty Sixth. The second location near South Congress will also carry the doughnuts once it opens next month. Buzz Mill owner Jason Sabala met Voodoo’s Cat Daddy and Tres Shannon when he worked in Portland at now-defunct nightclub Satyricon and Sabala’s Mount. Tabor during the 2000s.

The 24-hour doughnut shop opened up its second out-of-state branch (after Colorado) in Austin last fall with an Austin-only doughnut, and tributes to late celebrities and pop culture moments.
