Barley Swine’s Brentwood relocation is set to quickly open on Monday, January 18. The Burnet Road space will let Bryce Gilmore and his staff expand beyond just the tasting menu with all-evening a la carte offerings, including a stronger focus on Gulf seafood. New dishes on the menu include crab tamales, bacon custard, and pig skin noodles.
The new spot also allows the restaurant to add more desserts from Susana Querejazu and a full bar program from Robert Stevens. Expect parsley croissants, edible cocktails, and drinks like bourbon with mole bitters and sparkling wine and a pisco. Look out for nitrogen-infused draft cocktails in the future, too.
Barley Swine’s other neighbor, Bufalina Due, opened over the weekend. The two are joining Lick Ice Creams, Finley's Barber Shop, and a patio furniture store in the lot. Hours for the restaurant are from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, with happy hour from happy hour from 5 to 7 p.m. on the weekdays.
