The quick and easy hotel chain Holiday Inn Express is attempting to embrace social media and breakfast foods with what it dubs as the "Pancake Selfie Express." The hotel brand is bringing its new fast pancake contraption, the Stack Station, to Austin for a two-day demo at the Domain with pancake selfies. Users take a photo of themselves at the truck, which is then printed onto the pancake machine, ready to be eaten in a minute. Find it on Sunday and Monday, September 6 and 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The truck will make stops in Phoenix and throughout California in the next two months.
Last month, pancake artist Daniel Drake created portraits of Anthony Bourdain, Guy Fieri, Julia Child, and Andrew Zimmern with just batter and food dye.
