Lenoir, the South First pre-fixe restaurant, is getting into the meals-on-wheels game with the addition of a food trailer in the wine garden. The truck will offer a casual alternative to the indoor dining room. A la carte snacks and plates will be available with table service. Dishes will include cornmeal hush puppies with peach sambal, deviled eggs topped with caviar and nori, lettuce wraps full of mung bean noodles and either mushrooms, shrimp, or pork belly. The garden already serves wine, beer, and cider. The trailer will be open at the same time as the wine garden, Tuesdays through Saturdays, from 5 to 10:30 p.m.
Similarly, LaV recently brought back its Say laV trailer this summer, though it is only available for outdoor events in the restaurant’s garden.
