Austin mayor Steve Adler believes in the UT Longhorns so much that he’s willing to bet an entire order of Franklin Barbecue on the team’s first football game of the season against Indiana’s Notre Dame, as reported by the Bevo Beat. The cut of meat wasn’t specified. Pete Buttigieg, the mayor of South Bend, is putting up what his city is apparently best known for: chocolate and honey from local businesses. The game will be played in Indiana on Saturday, September 5.

Longhorn fans will have beer, wine, and Torchy’s Tacos to look forward to during the team’s first home game at Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium next week on Saturday, September 12.
