— After 1,339 people signed a petition urging the Alamo Drafthouse to ditch its helicopter hog hunt for Fantastic Fest, founder Tim League decided to cancel the shoot, saying:

He’ll take up the topic as one of the debates during the festival on Friday, September 25.

— Outkast’s Andre 3000 has been making the rounds in Austin this week, popping up at Stay Gold, Craftsman, and Alamo Drafthouse.

— The Vegan Yacht will be expanding with a second truck after winning $10,000 from a Progressive Commercial Auto food truck contest.
