— While waiting on line at Franklin, Desmond Roldan, the young entrepreneur behind BBQ Fast Pass, appeared on NBC Nightly News yesterday evening. Earlier this month, he spoke to NPR about how he’s a "big deal."

— Whataburger embarked on another feud, this time with Texas-born chicken wing chain Wingstop. The burger chain blocked Wingstop on Twitter, which it wasn’t too happy about. The two made up at the end (phew). Elsewhere in Texas, a Whataburger in Lewisville refused to serve two police officers. Headquarters did not approve.

— The winning flavor for Ben & Jerry’s Texas edition is Bourbon Pecan Pie, which beat out Bar-B-Que Peach. The pint will be available in stores and ice cream shops throughout the state.

— Lucky and hungry football fans at Texas A&M in College Station can order a giant four-foot hot dog dubbed the Aggie Dog. It weighs 12 pounds.

— After Blue Bell’s much-awaited return, a woman alleges that she found a piece of plastic in her carton of ice cream. This is also after Texas employees of the factory came forward with serious issues about the plant.
