Uchi pizzeria concept St. Philip is shutting down its bakeshop immediately. The area will still be used as a utility space for the restaurant. Items from the bakery, like s'mores snowballs, kolaches, and breakfast sandwiches, will appear on the regular menu, as specials every so often.

St. Philip opened in early October. Founding pastry chef Kerstin Bellah, who developed the bakery menu and previously worked at Uchiko, departed for anticipated Italian restaurant Juniper, run by fellow Uchi alum Nicholas Yanes. St. Philip’s former head chef Page Pressley also left this year for Emmer & Rye on Rainey Street.
