The new concept that will replace Mulberry is Coast, according to the updated Facebook page, which makes it safe to say it will focus on seafood. The seven-year-old wine bar announced last week it would close after brunch service on Sunday, September 13.

The new restaurant will be helmed by current chef Ruston Richardson and general manager Karina Lopez. The two are hoping to open the revamped space this year. Look out for pop-ups from Coast in the near future.

September 14, 4:15 p.m.: Coast will highlight sharable plates, drawing inspiration from Southern California and the Texas Gulf Coast. Seafood will be sourced from Monger's Market and other local businesses. Wine is still crucial to the new concept, as well as late night drinks.
