It’s the pizzeria’s first restaurant outside of Philly.

Pizzeria Vetri, the Philadelphia pizza restaurant, is bringing its first out-of-state outpost to Austin this fall. It will be part of Space 24, the new development concept from Urban Outfitters on The Drag. Expect wood-fired Neapolitan pizzas made with a Renato oven, bottled cocktails, and fried pizza dough. The pizzeria is set to open on 2421 San Antonio Street in early November.

Chef and owner Marc Vetri picked Austin because it’s "one of the fastest growing food cities right now and it’s becoming a true culinary destination," he said, "not unlike the restaurant scene here in Philadelphia." There’s been talks of D.C. locations, too.

Space 24 will have an additional restaurant and bar, but those haven’t been named yet. The retail company took over the block between 24th and 25th streets on The Drag in June.
