Wu Chow snagged beloved D.C. ramen shop Toki Underground sous chef Howard Chang as its new general manager. Chang’s ability to speak fluent Mandarin was important to owners C.K. Chin and Stuart Thomajan because he’ll be able to work easily with Fujian chefs Ji Peng Chen and Ling Qi Wu. The ramen shop popped up in Austin during SXSW at SouthBites and LaV.

The modern Chinese restaurant is also hosting a hiring fair at 101 San Jacinto Boulevard. It will be held on Monday, August 10 through Wednesday, August 12 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday, August 13 through Friday, August 14 from 2 to 8 p.m.

The team behind Wu Chow also oversees Swift’s Attic and Delish. The restaurant is expected to open sometime this year.
