Qui, the flagship restaurant from Paul Qui, made the switch to ticketing system Tock’s beta platform today. Bill Mann, Qui’s director of operations, told Eater in July that they were in the middle of transferring to the new system. Chicago restaurateur Nick Kokonas launched the beta site in June.
Kokonas wrote in a blog post that Tock is "organized by experiences, not reservations," emphasizing the flexibility restaurants will have in terms of creating different types of bookings and pricing based on availablity and demand. This includes Qui’s ticketed tasting room and special events like the recent East Side King pop-up dinners. The restaurant joins the small pilot group which includes Kokonas’ Alinea, The Aviary, and Next.
There are other ways to enjoy Qui, too. Traditional reservations are still accepted for the dining room tasting room, and the a la carte pulatan menu is available on the patio.
