The second-ever Shake Shack in Texas is opening on Wednesday, August 26 in The Domain. Special to the far north location will be a bocce ball court and Adirondack chairs on the back patio. Danny Meyer, owner of the burger chain, told Eater previously that he wants the second location to become "a really cool hang spot for that area."
The menu will include the same Austin-specific items as its South Lamar sister like the Lockhart Link Burger and Uchi-koncrete (five percent of the sales of the sweet will go towards the Boys & Girls Club). There’s also the cultish burgers, fries, and custards. The spot’s exact address in the fancy mall is 11228 Domain Drive. Hours will be from Sunday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Texas’s very first Shake Shack opened this May as part of the Lamar Union project on South Lamar. The far north location was announced in March last year, and was hiring earlier this summer.
The Domain is setting out to become Austin’s newest hotspot, with the opening of East Side King’s Thai Kun’s brick and mortar, a second location of Second Bar + Kitchen, and much more.
