Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ’s Taco Truck is Coming to Star Bar

Violet Taco, Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ’s dedicated taco truck, will open at Star Bar on Saturday, August 15. The truck will still serve some of its parent trailer’s favorites, including smoked brisket and carnitas tacos. As an added bonus, ribs will be served on Wednesdays. Aaron Franklin’s favorite barbecue trailer is staying in its permanent spot on Brodie Lane. A new pit was recently added to the far South Austin space.

The taco truck, which was previously found at Craftsman on Cesar Chavez, had to shut down in mid-July after the Austin Code Compliance department said the trailer was too large for its space. Valentina’s Tex Mex BBQ had to leave Star Bar in April because of the bar’s renovations.
