ZOMG BBQ — Cancel any plans for Franklin from Monday, July 20 to Thursday, July 30, because the barbecue spot is taking a little summer break. This means BBQ Fast Pass can have some time off, too. Don’t fret: it’ll be back open on Friday, July 31. [EaterWire]

SPICEWOOD — The restaurant and apiary Apis will be hosting guest sous chefs in the restaurant and apiary every Tuesday night starting on Tuesday, September 22. They will work with the restaurant’s Abby Searles and Michael St. Germain to cook a prix fixe dinner that will cost between $40-75. Proposals to participate, which are due on Saturday, August 1, should be sent to bee@apisrestaurant.com. The sous chef series will end on Tuesday, November 17. [EaterWire]

LOBSTER WIRE — Garbo’s is now throwing weekly lobster boils, with the first one tonight. Reservations are required. For $48, guests get lobster, sausage, mussels, corn, and potatoes. Next door at the newly opened wine bar is the restaurant’s Oyster & Wine Study. Diners can try different oyster and wine pairings. [EaterWire]

RHODE ISLAND — Eden East’s Sonya Cote’s going to take up a short residency in her home state later this summer. She’ll run pop-up dinners on Horseshoe Farm in Westerly from August 19-22. [EaterWire]

EAST 6TH — Vegetable haven Gardner is extending its four course Monday prix fixe to every night for the summer. [EaterWire]
