Banger’s Expands With New Building

Banger’s, the sausage and beer hall, is getting bigger with a new building next to the current one on Rainey Street, as originally reported by Community Impact. It won’t be a standalone project, owner Ben Siegel told Eater, but rather an expansion of Banger’s. It will include "some pretty exciting features," he said, "that the property will have to enhance and build on what we have already created at Banger's." Construction will either start in December or April, depending on whether he will rent the lot out for SXSW. The building would open six months after that.

As part of Banger’s revamp, the kitchen will be expanded so the restaurant can serve more people from 200 to 600. During the renovation, the staff will work out of a kitchen trailer that will take over the dog park. Other recent changes include new awning for the porch and a storage shed.
