— The Dallas Observer put together a list of what it deemed as truly Texan restaurants. Austin representatives are Fonda San Miguel, Matt's El Rancho, Uchi, Green Pastures, which underwent a recent chef shuffle, and they didn't forget Franklin, which is currently closed for a well-deserved vacation.

— Epicurious attempted to recreate the perfection that is an Austin breakfast taco. Instructions include making the chorizo, crispy and smooth potatoes, and accurately adding lots of green sauce. Plus, there are call-outs to Veracruz All Natural and Torchy’s.
