— New downtown cocktail bar The Townsend announced the first guest bartender for its loyalty program: Adam Bryan, formerly of Bar Congress. With the "cocktological residency," the visiting mixologist will receive one percent of every drink sold. Bryan will be taking up the bar on Sunday, July 19 to Thursday, July 23 from 7-11 p.m.
— Coffee shop Houndstooth is temporarily closing down the North Lamar location starting at 3 p.m. on Monday, July 20 to Wednesday, July 22, for some small renovations.
