The Usual Suspects Make Southern Living’s Best Barbecue List

Southern Living published a list of the 50 best barbecue places in the South, and Austin was decently represented. Franklin Barbecue was second with La Barbecue in fifth place. Micklethwait Craft Meats was part of the 40 unranked places. Other Texas places include Louie Mueller Barbecue in Taylor, Black’s Barbecue, and Kreuz Market.

Contributing barbecue editor Robert Moss put together the list. He admitted that he ended up favoring pits in Tennessee and the Carolinas. He was hired in November.
