Stella San Jac, a new Southern-style restaurant that’s part of the impending Westin Austin Downtown hotel, will open on Thursday, July 16. It will be found on the corner of San Jacinto Boulevard and Fifth Street. The 150-seat restaurant will have an open kitchen and lounge with live music.

The menu is described as being "Austin-American," which a press release explains as "embodying the music, flavors, and culture" of the city. This includes blueberry sweet bread French toast, Gulf shrimp and lump crab roll, and #16 biscuits (named after the number of tries to perfect the batch). The full bar, which will include cocktails, local beers, and wines, will feature limited infused cocktails.

The restaurant is now hiring for all positions. Once open, hours will be Sunday through Saturdays from 6:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. The lounge will be open from 11 a.m. to midnight.

Update, July 17: Here's a peek at the restaurant's interior:
