Shoal Creek Saloon released a video yesterday depicting how quickly water entered and damaged the restaurant during the floods on Memorial Day. Clipped together from security camera footage inside the building, rushing water from Shoal Creek is seen in the video, with swirling chairs and tables, lights being cut, and even what appears to be a knocked down office wall.
After the floods, Shoal Creek Saloon re-opened in five days. Owner Ray Canfield told KXAN that the recent thunderstorms this past weekend made him concerned:
"We knew the big one was coming, and there’s probably a bigger one coming down the road, and we’re just trying to prepare for all of it."
The restaurant experienced damage from flash flooding last September.
