Bizarre Foods host Andrew Zimmern hunted quails with Dai Due’s Jesse Griffiths for the next episode, which airs Monday, June 15, on the Travel Channel. They went to Broken Arrow Ranch in Ingram, Texas, in March, where they hunted the bird, and cooked the game over campfire. The San Antonio-centric episode’s called "Brains, Balls, & Blood," so it’s easy to guess what the focus is. Zimmern also tried crickets at Mixtli, and also visited Restaurant Gwendolyn and El Machito, as reported by the San Antonio Current.

Zimmern wrote the foreword to Griffiths’s hunting and cooking guide, Afield, where he described the butcher/chef/hunter as someone who "understands the importance of what we need to preserve in our cultural heritage, and translates it for the modern age."
