Need plans beyond the Mother's Day brunch you've totally made reservations for? (If not, here are some great options). Here's four great restaurant and bar-centric events this Saturday and Sunday.

Contigo Turns 4 — Do you like the sound of a cow tongue eating contest? Contigo has an anniversary party for you. The restaurant will celebrate four years on Saturday, May 9 from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with live music, prizes, a chef dunking booth and a race to eat, yes, cow tongue. [Eaterwire]

Uncle Billy's Turns 8 — The Barton Springs brewery and restaurant will host festivities all weekend, including a crawfish boil on Saturday from 11:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be many beer releases and special tappings throughout the weekend as well. [Eaterwire]

Gin & Ice Cream — Lick Ice Creams will team up with Austin's Genius Gin to create 'deconstructed' ice cream cocktails on Saturday at Metier. Sample two seasonal ice cream-gin combinations in the cook shop's garden from 1 - 3 p.m. [Eaterwire]

Salvation Pizza's Grand Opening — Salvation Pizza will celebrate the arrival of their second location on Rainey Street all weekend. Expect free samples and tastings, live music, and more benefitting local charity A Glimmer of Hope. [Eaterwire]
