The Red Dirt BBQ & Music festival celebrated its second year in the town square of Tyler, Texas on Saturday. A number of Austin-based barbecue joints, including Stiles Switch, Freedmen's, and Schmidt Family Barbecue, converged on the East Texas town to celebrate smokey meats and Texas music. Eater photographer Robert J. Lerma was there to capture the festival, which mixed some of the state's best pitmasters and musicians with small town charm.
