Eureka!, the California-based dining chain, is set to open in Austin on Monday, June 15 Update, June 22, 5:15 p.m.: Thursday, June 25, on East 6th Street. According to a press release, the decor’s "historic yet rustic aesthetics and industrial influences" include reclaimed wood paneling from whiskey distilleries and barns. The 5,000 square foot space can fit 200 diners in the dining room. Various seating options include booths, high tops, and community tables, as well as the wraparound copper bar.
Eureka!’s slogan is "discover American craft," and that’s reflected in the menu, which includes Golden Ale mussels made with jalapeno bacon stock, the Cowboy Burger with a beer barbecue sauce, and butterscotch rum pudding. The taco bar will include fish, chicken and crispy shrimp.
The bar will serve cocktails, wine on tap, and American craft beers. Local breweries represented include Real Ale, Hops & Grain, and Karbach Brewing. The liquor offerings focus on small-batch whiskeys. Off-menu pours include Pappy Van Winkle.
Once open, Eureka!’s hours will be from Sunday through Wednesday, 11-12 a.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 11-1 a.m. Happy hour will be from 2-6 p.m, with a reverse special from 9-11 p.m.
