Steampunk Saloon will take over the former location of Opal Divine’s Freehouse on West Sixth this summer, according to Community Impact. The bar will have a  "prohibition 1920s-era theme with industrial aesthetics," co-owner Clay Woody told the newspaper, hence the name. He is also involved with The Ranch and Micheladas Cafe Y Cantina.

The 700 West Sixth Street bar will be sectioned off, as Woody said:

The establishment will be divided into three sections, with the downstairs bar being the first one to open. The other two phases, an upstairs bar and lounge as well as a backyard patio, will open at later dates, which are not yet determined, Woody said. The upstairs area will offer a more upscale atmosphere, and the backyard patio will include a beer garden that includes yard games, such as shuffleboard.

The outside patio will host three food trailers, including a second Thai Kun truck and Dock & Roll.

The first Opal’s Divine closed in 2013 because it outgrew the space. There are three other locations of the bar and grill still in Austin.
