New Food Truck at The Scoot Inn; Live Fire Tickets Still Available; More

EAST SIDE — The Historic Scoot Inn is celebrating the launch of its new food truck, Hot Mess, on Wednesday April 15th from 9 p.m. to midnight. There will be live music, discounted eats and happy hour drink prices all night long. The trailer--which will be stationed permanently at the Scoot Inn and open daily from 4 p.m.- 2 a.m.--will serve burgers, BBQ and tacos. [EaterWire]

EVENTWIRE — Sway is hosting a "Spring Bounty" on Sunday, April 19th at 5:30 p.m. as part of the Sustainable Food Center Chef Series. There will be SFC Farmers’ Market meats and produce and a multi-course tasting menu and drink pairings from Austin chefs like Jesse Griffiths of Dai Due and George Thomas of Ramen Tatsu-ya. Tickets are $75-$100 per person and can be purchased here. [EaterWire]

ZOMG BBQ — This Thursday, Austin’s fifth annual "premier meat-centric, live-fire cooking event" is happening at The Salt Lick and it’s the last call to pre-purchase tickets--you can get them here for $85 (or $100 at the door).
