L'Estelle Kitchen House & Yard, a French-styled Southern bistro, is set to open on Rainey Street sometime this summer. Austin architect Craig Nasso owns and designed the space, and his wife Holly will run it. The comfort food-focused restaurant on 88 1/2 Rainey Street will only have outdoor seating, according to Community Impact.
Sharing the same courtyard as L’Estelle will be Drafting Room, a wine and beer bar. The tavern officially opened in March after converting Nasso’s former office space into the bar. Several local beer taps are featured, along with what appears to be four revolving taps with chalkboard signage. Highlighted now are (512) Brewing Company beers. The bar is open Thursday through Saturday from 5 p.m.-2 a.m.

The restaurant will be open for dinner and late night meals, with weekend brunch too. There are plans to add breakfast and coffee in the mornings, as well as lunch in the afternoon. The name of the head chef hasn’t been released yet, according to a rep.
The space hosted a grilled cheese pop-up during SXSW and served reubens on St. Patrick’s Day. There will be a retail pop-up as part of Austin Fashion Week on Saturday, April 11, complete with food from the kitchen and drinks from the bar.
