The fantastic Meghan McCarron's transitioning into the new role of associate features editor for Eater.com after two years covering all things Austin, which means her position is now open. Job duties include reporting on openings, closings, staff shuffles, and everything else that makes the ATX restaurant scene tick as well as taking an in-depth look — in the form of maps, guides, and more — at what makes the city one of the best in the country for dining and drinking. The ideal candidate has more than a year of experience covering Austin restaurants, and a knack for breaking news and uncovering stories — and sharing them in smart, well-reported ways.
