The Austin Food & Wine Festival is this weekend's mega food-event, but there's plenty of other fun (and cheaper) options. Here's some other great food and drink-related events this weekend, for those looking to get goofy with beer or check out a new brunch spot.

OFF-CENTERED FILM FEST — Do you love beer, cinema, and/or yacht rock? The Alamo Drafthouse's Off-Centered film festival runs this weekend, co-hosted by collaborators Dogfish Head Brewery, with a nautical theme. Tonight's event is a Dogfish Head Beer Feast featuring The Life Aquatic, and they're throwing a freakin' boat party tomorrow at 1 P.M. All screenings will feature rare Dogfish Head beers. CANDYLAND AFTERPARTY — Didn't get tickets to the Food & Wine Festival but still want to dip your toes in? The W Hotel will host a Candyland-themed afterparty from 10:00 P.M. to 11:30 P.M on Saturday. The $40 tickets get guests food, drink, and the opportunity to play games to benefit the Austin Food & Wine Alliance. [Eaterwire]>

SUPPER FRIENDS — This Saturday, the popular East Austin supper club will host a Spring Asian Supper. The four course meal is $55 per person, and kicks off at 7 P.M. [Eaterwire]

SWEET BRUNCH LAUNCH — Honey-focused restaurant Apis will launch brunch this Sunday, April 26. The menu features a fried oyster benedict and brioche French toast. [Eaterwire]
