Cali-Mex specialists Super Burrito will shutter their Oltorf and I-35 location suddenly: their last day is tomorrow, Friday April 3. In a Facebook posting, they say a P. Terry's will replace their home of eight years, and city permits list "P. Terry's Burger Stand #12" as the project behind the remodel approved for the site. Update! A rep for P. Terry's confirms they will take over the location at 1800 E. Oltorf, and hope to open by the end of the summer.
Super Burrito will continue to operate their San Marcos location and their downtown food truck, and are actively searching for a new Austin location. Here's the full announcement:
As many of you already know our landlord has sold our spot to P. Terry's, which will start construction Monday. We will be open for the last time this Friday April 3rd. We would like to thank all our staff and customers for making these last 8 years possible. We will open regular 7am and close until all our remaining food is depleted. Our location in San Marcos will remain open. Our food truck on 5th street will soon offer delivieries by dine on demand. We are currently in the process of finding a location to replace Oltorf. We are very grateful for all the support the Austin community has given us. Thank you guys. Oltorf will always have a special place in our hearts.
